Joseph Breitner P. Eng. specializes in designing and leading water related product developments; taking concepts through prototyping, to design and full production/manufacturing. Drives “design for manufacturing” with “can do” attitude. Joseph is open minded, creative and a problem solver. He has over 20 years of product development experience at cutting edge water technology companies. He has a few granted patents.
Joseph has a B.Sc. with honors in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Material Engineering, both from Technion–Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.
Joseph was part of a team that developed Netafim’s (Israel’s largest irrigation company) first micro-sprinkler product line: Flow-compensated sprinklers, foggers, mini valves and frost protection sprinkler.
When Joseph moved to Canada in 2002 from Israel he started working for Zenon Environmental Inc. which later became part of GE Water & Process Technologies. During that period Joseph held positions from Mechanical Engineer to Engineering Director; leading an international team of technical people in developing water filtration products. He was heavily involved in all major Zenon/GE product developments: ZW500, ZW1000 and ZW1500.
In 2012, he received GE’s Technology Award – Customer Value for the development of LEAPmbr.
